Each year, the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business organizes the ‘C.K. Prahalad Grand Challenge’ to present students the opportunity to build a business plan, for value creation at the base of the pyramid. This case competition honors the legacy of the late Professor C.K. Prahalad, and his vision for how innovation can balance the relationship between profit generation and social value creation for the base of the pyramid.
C.K. Prahalad Grand Challenge – 2018 will be conducted between February and March 2018 with cash prizes totaling up to USD 8000. All teams should have 4 team members, including one team captain.

Feb. 11, 2018 – Registration deadline
Feb. 12, 2018 – Grand Challenge prompt released
Feb. 20, 2018 – Grand Challenge submission deadline
Feb. 25, 2018 – Grand Challenge finalists announced
March 15, 2018 – Selected 5 finalist teams will be invited to the University of Michigan on March 15 to present their business plan to a panel of judges. Ground transport and accommodations will be provided to those teams. Additionally, finalists will be invited to attend the Michigan India Conference on March 16.
